Under this scheme CHA organises UK group representation at selected overseas trade shows and administers grants for new exporters.
Who is eligible?
Any UK registered Company, partnership or sole trader that can be described as a Small or Medium Sized Enterprise (SME). An SME is defined as a company with;
• fewer than 250 employees
• turnover of less than 50million Euros (approx £33million)
• less than 25% of the company owned by another business
Where more than 25% of the company is owned by another business the size definition applies to the whole group, i.e. the parent companies and all subsidiaries.
How much is the grant?
The grant is at a variable rate of either £1000, £1400 or £1,800 per exhibitor - dependent on the individual show. Each eligible UK company can claim up to three TAP grants from April 2006 (any grants awarded before this date under the old SESA scheme are not counted).
