The International Agri-Technology Centre at Stoneleigh Park offers support and advice to UK companies in the agriculture and related technologies sector looking for new market opportunities across the globe.
The centre is a joint initiative between UK Trade & Investment, the lead government organisation for helping companies based in the UK achieve their export potential, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) and Advantage West Midlands

The UK government Department for the Environment & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) collects and publishes a wide range of statistics on UK Horticulture including;
- areas of crops grown
- yield of crops grown
- value of crops grown
- type of production - e.g. open field, protected, irrigated
- number of growers by region and by size of holding etc.

Importers of cut flowers, fresh fruit & vegetables
The majority of cut-flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables in the UK is sold through a few supermarket chains. Note that the supermarkets DO NOT buy direct from growers. They will put you in touch with the appropriate supplier who buys on their behalf. Growers seeking to sell these products into the UK should contact supermarket buyers or their suppliers direct.
